Americans Would Rather Travel Than Pay High Costs

Affordable, quality care apparently trumps the commitment to travel. Approximately 50 million uninsured Americans are choosing medical tourism rather than pay for medical care in the US.

Fertility Treatment

Infertility treatment or assisted reproductive technology refer to an umbrella of technologies used to achieve pregnancy through artificial means. Infertility treatments have made it possible for couples to  become parents who could previously not have children because of reproductive infertility.

Various techniques are used to induce fertility. Infertility in women can be treated by using fertility drugs. Infertility in men can be due to various reasons. Varicose veins, low hormone count, blockage of reproductive tract, etc are common reasons. Fertility treatments are now available to restore normal fertility to men.

By using drugs, women can get pregnant in a few months without taking recourse to further fertility treatments. Fertility drugs are also used in tandem with other more complicated treatments such as intrauterine insemination and in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

Intrauterine insemination also known as artificial insemination, is a common method. Here, a catheter is used to insert sperm in the womb during ovulation.

In vitro fertilization is a technique wherein the sperms and the eggs are collected together in the laboratory in a petri dish and fertilization is induced. The resulting embryo is placed in the womb using a catheter. When you visit an infertility center, they will diagnose your condition and offer you an infertility treatment to suit your case.
