Your Healthcare Holiday Dollars go Farther in Thailand

Medical costs in the West are skyrocketing and patients are flocking to Asia to save, particularly to Thailand where outlays for treatment are generally five to ten times less than what they’d be in the US and Europe.

Rehabilitation Treatments

Rehabilitation is a process of medical and psychotherapic treatment used to rehabilitate a person back into society. Aids such as addiction counseling, pharmacotherapies, residential treatment, support groups, care centers are employed to help the person come out of his addiction or psychological condition.

There are many kinds of rehabilitation. It depends on what a person is seeking rehabilitation from. Some examples are alcohol rehabilitation, drug rehabilitation, physical rehabilitation after an injury or an accident, etc.

There are many rehabilitation centers worldwide where rehabilitation treatment can be received against various addictions. In certain cases opioid medications are also used to treat addictions to morphine or heroin. As part of their addiction treatment, alcoholics may be prescribed drugs such as Acamprosate, Topiramate or Disulfiram to break their addiction.

Counseling has also proved to be useful in addiction rehabilitation. Physical rehabilitation can be performed by professionals like physiotherapists who have been trained in the science.
