Numerous Thai Hospitals Have Earned Prestigious JCI Accreditation

And the first to meet Joint Commission International standards in the whole of Asia was Bangkok’s celebrated Bumrungrad International Hospital, meaning it was the first Asian facility to pass muster in over 350 international standards on their rigorous checklist.

Elbow Replacement

Elbow replacement is done when the elbow joint is damaged due to injury or arthritis. During the procedure, the damaged portion of the joint is removed and the two bones of the arms, which are ulna and humerus, are prepared to receive an artificial implant replacing the damaged portion.

This surgery is performed under anesthesia and takes about two hours. Hospitalization after surgery can be up to four days. Patients are to limit function up to 12 weeks after surgery. Full recovery of the elbow takes up to a year. Proper rehabilitation is very important for good recovery.

Patients who undergo elbow surgery enjoy a pain-free life with good joint mobility.
