More Spas than Cities

Thailand has over 700 operating spas! In 2009, the Intelligent Spa Benchmarking Report found that the country hosts the largest number of spas in the region.

Gum Disease Treatment (Periodontal)

Periodontal disease or gum disease is the infection of bone and gum surrounding the teeth. Gingivitis and periodontitis are the most common forms.

Gingivitis is a mild gum disease, usually painless, with the only obvious symptom being bleeding while brushing. Antibiotics by dentist and good oral hygiene can take care of this.

Periodontitis is a more severe disease. Your doctor might do a root planing and scaling to avoid plaque buildup, prescribe antibiotics, do a gingivectomy (removal of diseased gum), do a flap procedure to clean the root of diseased tooth, or do a tooth extraction to take care of this.

Timely checkup and dental intervention can prevent any serious complications from periodontal diseases.
