Acne Cure Treatments

Acne can be cured using a variety of methods, according to patient's particular condition. Most of the treatments involve sebum production, unclogging of pores by shedding skin, or limiting growth of related bacteria. Some of the treatment methods are discussed below.

  • Topical treatment using products that contain salicylic acid, benzoyl peroxide, sulfur or resorcinol as active ingredients.
  • Anitibiotics may be used for moderate to severe conditions. These help in reducing inflammation and killing bacteria.
  • Isotretinoin is used in the cases of deep cystic acne that cannot be cured by antibiotics.
  • Laser or light therapy can also be done to reduce or remove acne from the skin.

If the condition is very severe, consulting a dermatologist is the best option.
