Mole Removal

Moles are formed on the skin tissue by a build-up of pigment-producing cells. These are mostly harmless and are only uncomfortable, if a person rubs or bumps them against something. Moles can be black, blue or flesh-colored, though brown is the most common one.

Mole removal is done by three ways. Cutting it out is one option. The mole is cut out of the skin in its entirety. If the mole is deep, stitching may be required after removal. Another option is freezing the mole using liquid nitrogen. Patients may experience blister on the mole location later, though it will heal itself. A hot wire, charged through electric current, is also used for mole removal. More than one sitting is required for this type of treatment. Moles are basically harmless, and if looking for removal, a doctor is your best option.
