Americans Would Rather Travel Than Pay High Costs

Affordable, quality care apparently trumps the commitment to travel. Approximately 50 million uninsured Americans are choosing medical tourism rather than pay for medical care in the US.

Chemical Peels

Chemical peel is a treatment for skin conditions like acne scars, sun damage, wrinkles or face lines. The process involves using an acidic or alcoholic solution on the skin. The solution initiates peeling of the dead skin layer, which can continue to up to a fortnight.

There are three basic types of peeling techniques. The mildest technique is superficial peel. In this, a dilute acid is used on the skin. Patients can immediately get back to their routine after a superficial peel. Moderate peels are used for a more severe skin condition. The recovery time varies from 5-7 days. For deep peel treatment, strong solution like phenol is used. It can usually be done only once and the recovery can take up to two months. Due to its ease of performing, chemical peel has become a fairly popular process.
