Hydrotherapy

Water is believed to have properties that enable healing. Hydrotherapy or water therapy involves use of water to treat different ailments. Hydrotherapy uses different forms of water like liquid, ice, steam, etc. It also uses water in different pressures and temperatures. The ability of water to dissolve substances without altering their properties is made use of by mixing herbs and minerals for treatment.

Some of the conditions that are treated by hydrotherapy are arthritis, acne, cold, headaches, muscle problems, nerve problems, hemorrhoids or piles, and stress.

Some of the techniques used in hydrotherapy are steam inhalation, sitz bath, cold and warm foot bath, sauna, etc.
