Phuket Medical Tourism

Medical Tourism in Phuket, Thailand

For medical tourists looking for an idyllic seaside location, with beaches, boats, bars and bungalows, Phuket is probably the number one place in the world, with no exaggeration. It has world-class hospitals, five-star hotels as well as more modest seaside accommodation, a great variety of diverse attractions, shows and tours, all contained on one amazing island with fantasy tropical beaches.

Why Health Tourism in Phuket?

You can get it all done in Phuket – your heart operation, your breast augmentation, your new teeth or perhaps simply a major check-up or detox at a medical spa. Then, while recuperating, you can take a multi-day cruise around the stunning Phang Nga Bay, if that is to your liking, or just find a tranquil, more remote village by the sea on the northwest coast to read, relax, recupe and recover.

Phuket is much more than a tropical paradise these days, with its JCI-accredited Bangkok Hospital Phuket, international schools, world-renowned health and wellness spas and resorts; and harbors and marinas full of shining yachts. It is also an international hub of trade and commerce, and it is the base for the development of the entire Andaman region. Not many islands the size of Phuket can boast all she has to offer.

Getting There and Around

Phuket is a truly international destination with direct flights from across Asia and Australia, including Kuala Lumpur, Hong Kong, Penang, Singapore, Brisbane and Sydney. Many other international points of origin offer private charters straight to the island. There are numerous flights from within Thailand making it extremely easy to visit Phuket as part of a larger trip to the country.

Once on Phuket, a rental car is possibly your best option, depending on how much you plan on traveling while there. As with Thailand’s larger cities, the usual alternative modes of transportation are available: songthaews, tuk-tuks, metered taxis, motorcycles and bikes.
