Getting There and Around

Pattaya is about a two-hour drive from Bangkok, less from the Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport. It does not have an airport of its own, except for U-Tapao, which is used solely by Bangkok Airways for flights between Pattaya and Koh Samui. Taxis, minibuses and limousines are also available at the airport for transport to Pattaya. Within Pattaya, travelers have access to bus service or may prefer the more iconic blue songthaews. There are thousands of these converted pickups that hold two benches in the back for seating.
